Machinery major set to offer electric-heating technology in new curing presses as well as in retrofit packages...
Hamburg, Germany – HF Group has “successfully proven the concept of fully electrical tire curing,” according to a press note issued by the Hamburg-based rubber machinery major.
The ‘industry milestone,’ it said, follows collaboration with a leading international tire manufacturer, which demonstrated the reliability and quality of the technology through rigorous testing.
With the test-phase now complete, HF said it is positioned to offer electric-heating technology in new curing presses as well as in retrofit packages for existing equipment.
The “breakthrough” meets the evolving requirements of the tire manufacturing industry, said Warren Rudman, executive vice president at HF Group.
"Our electric curing technology not only delivers high-quality results but also supports the industry's shift toward more eco-friendly production practices," said Rudman.
Earlier this year, Rudman cited electric-curing as part of a new HF strategy focused on innovation in digitalisation, production, new-product development and sustainability. (ERJ feature)
