Former FST boss Claus Möhlenkamp to lead Freudenberg Group

Mohsen Sohi, who has held the top position at German group since 2012, to retire mid-2025
Weinheim, Germany – Freudenberg SE has named Claus Moehlenkamp as the head of the group, taking over from Dr Mohsen Sohi, who is retiring 30 June 2025.
Moehlenkamp will simultaneously join the management board of Freudenberg SE and of Freudenberg & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft on 1 Jan 2025, serving as deputy chairman until taking over his new position 1 July.
An experienced Freudenberg executive, Moehlenkamp has worked with Freudenberg for 30 years, including as the CEO of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST).
Moehlenkamp, who led FST between 2011 and 2022, has been credited for the strategic development of the company and its role in ‘shaping the progress and transformation of the automotive industry.’
Furthermore, FST’s shift to support electric mobility and its transition from components manufacturer to a systems supplier in fuel cell and battery fields are attributed to Moehlenkemp.
In 2022, he moved to the newly formed business group Freudenberg e-Power Systems, where he served as CEO and a member of the Freudenberg executive council.
Outgoing Sohi joined Freudenberg in 2003 in the US as president and CEO of Freudenberg-NOK seals joint venture in Plymouth, Michigan.
In 2010, he was appointed to Freudenberg Group’s management board in Weinheim, initially as a board member and was named CEO Freudenberg & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft and Freudenberg SE in 2012.
