BKT targets off-highway OEMs with new appointment

Seregno, Italy – Indian off-highway tire manufacturer Balkrishna Industries Ltd (BKT) is strengthening its OEM strategy with the creation of a new role to achieve the goal.

The tire maker has appointed Ludovic Revel as president global OEM to support its growth strategy in the original equipment channel and consolidate brand visibility, said BKT 26 Sept.

Revel, according to BKT, has a “strong background” and nearly three decades of experience in the off-highway tire market, having worked with “world-renowned companies” previously.

In his new role, he will expand the OEM channel through exploring new markets as well as new business & development opportunities.

"The focus of the new strategy will certainly be on building long-term relationships with OEMs worldwide,” said Revel upon his appointment.

Reporting directly to Lucia Salmaso, managing director of BKT Europe, Revel is expected to bring “innovative and customer-oriented approach… to transform and enhance existing operations.”

The vision, BKT said, targets the integration and further improvement of service quality and operational effectiveness.
