Under 10-year extension, DSV will equip fleets with Westlake tires, promote the brand among European OEMs
Hannover, Germany – ZC Rubber has extended an existing partnership with Danish logistics specialist DSV AS for another 10 years to promote its Westlake truck tire brand in Europe.
The two companies have been collaborating since 2014, initially starting with the supply of ZC Rubber tires for DSV trailer fleets.
The partnership expanded further by granting DSV exclusive rights to distribute Westlake tires across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
Under the renewed agreement, announced 17 Sept, DSV subsidiary DVS Road Holding NV will continue to equip its trailer fleets with Westlake tires.
Additionally, DSV has committed to fitting all new trailer purchases with Westlake tires and to “actively promoting” the brand to OEM manufacturers across Europe.
Based in Hedehusene, DSV is a leading logistics group employing over 60,000 people across 90 countries.
Most recently, the group acquired DB Schenker, the logistics subsidiary of German state-owned railway operator Deutsche Bahn, for €14.3 billion.
This acquisition, according to ZC Rubber, marks a significant expansion for DSV in the logistics sector, positioning it to become one the world's “largest freight operator.”
“Our partnership with DSV has been instrumental in expanding the reach and reputation of Westlake tires across key markets in Europe,” said Leo Liao, sales director Europe of ZC Rubber.
Extending the collaboration, ZC Rubber said, “sets the stage for continued growth,” helping improve innovation and success in the logistics and tire industries across Europe.
