Continental Tire files plan to establish €60m facility in US

Forth Worth, Texas – Continental Tire The America LLC aims to invest $69 million (€62 million) in the construction of a new facility in Forth Worth, Texas, according to a recent company filing.
The US-based tire maker plans to build a 752,000 square-foot unit, featuring 7,500 square feet of support offices, said its 28 Aug filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The document for the project, titled 'Hillwood - Project Road Trip', did not provide further details about the facility but said completion was expected by the end of January 2026.
Continental Tire America is based in Fort Mills, South Carolina, with production facilities in Clinton, Mississippi; Mount Vernon Illinois; and Sumter, South Carolina.
The company also operates an indoor tire testing and proving ground centre in Uvalde, Texas and recently expanded its distribution centre in Grand Prairie, north Texas.
