Stockholm – Nynas AB has introduced a product-range said to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for many of its speciality products by 25%, the Swedish group announced 5 Sept.
Verified by external parties, the Evo Line products are claimed to offer lower carbon footprint (PCF) while maintaining the same “quality and product characteristics” of conventional counterparts.
The new range currently includes products used in applications such as tires, adhesives, lubricants and power transmission transformer fluids, said Nynas.
The ‘drop-in’, low-PCF alternatives are currently being manufactured with 'limited capacity' and will be provided on a “first come, first serve” basis, Nynas informed ERJ.
“For the time being our Evo products are not replacing our legacy products but offering a lower product carbon footprint,” explained Annika Girod, marketing director at Nynas.
The solutions, she said, offer a direct replacement alternative, meaning that there would be “no changes in the formulation and no foreseen need to reapprovals.”
