General price hike of $220 per tonne will come into effect as of October, according to US supplier
Houston, Texas – Kraton Corp. is introducing a general price hike of $220/tonne (€198/tonne) for all hydrogenated styrene block-copolymer (HSBC) products.
Subject to terms of any applicable contracts, and surcharges, the price increase will take effect 1 Oct, Kraton announced 6 Sept.
This is the second time this year Kraton is increasing prices for the styrenic copolymers, following a similar round of hikes introduced earlier in July.
The US-based polymer supplier cited “the continued increase in raw material and transportation costs” as the main reason for the price increase.
