Henning Karbstein will take over activities covering North, Central And South America regions as of October
Waldkraiburg, Germany – Henning Karbstein is taking over the management of Kraiburg TPE for the North, Central and South America region as of 1 Oct, the German group has announced.
He will be managing the operational business of the TPE manufacturer from its US location in Buford, Georgia.
According to Kraiburg TPE, Karbstein has “extensive experience” in automotive and engineering sectors and is taking over from Jeff Frankish, who is retiring after 17 years with the group.
The German group said Karbstein has had six months of transition, receiving “extensive training and an introduction to his new areas of responsibility” both in the US and Germany.
“He will have full operational scope in his new position from the start of the fourth quarter of 2024,” said Kraiburg TPE 4 Sept.
Karbstein holds an degree in mechanical engineering with a diploma dissertation on “the development of gasoline V engines” in the design department at Mercedes-Benz AG.
He has previously worked in the North American operations of various companies, including German automotive tier-1 supplier Schaeffler Group, BASF and Badische Stahl Engineering.
Upon his appointment, Karbstein said he aimed to further expand Kraiburg TPE’s business activities in North, Central and South America by ‘gradually unlocking’ its full potential.
