UK tire manufacturer to produce tires at Mocksville, North Carolina factory
Columbus, Ohio – The US Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded Dunlop Aircraft Tyres Ltd (DATL) a $7.6 million (€6.8 million) contract for the supply of aircraft tires.
In a brief announcement 20 Aug, the DoD said it awarded the ‘firm-fixed-price” contract to DATL’s subsidiary in Mocksville, North Carolina, that will be supplying the tires to the air force, navy and marine corps.
According to DoD, DATL was selected from among three competitors for three-year contract, whose performance completion date is 19 Aug 2027.
