Shandong Jinyu project to expand capacity at TBR plant

Dongying, China – Shandong Jinyu Tire Co. has announced plans for a Yuan250 million (€32 million) expansion project to increase all-steel truck and bus radial tire production in China.

In an environmental impact assessment report, submitted in July, the Chinese tire maker said the investment would add capacity to produce an additional 1 million units per year of TBR tires in at its facility in Dongying City.

The ‘green intelligent manufacturing’ upgrade & expansion project, it said will involve mainly in adding two ‘intelligent internal mixers’, one open mixer, one mixing machine, three moulding units and 18 vulcanisers.

In addition, the project includes upgrading key factory components such as IT systems and automated testing processes, as well as installing new automated logistics conveyor lines to enhance efficiency.

Once completed the production capacity of the facility will increase to 4.2 million units of all-steel TBR tires, according to Jinyu.
