26 Aug 2024
Event will explore industry moves to address issues posed by these substances, now under the regulatory spotlight
London - The IOM3 Elastomer Group will, next month, stage an afternoon technical discussion meeting, titled Elastomers in the Age of PFAS & 6PPD.
The meeting will explore developments in the elastomer industry in response to issues around PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) and 6PPD rubber stabilisers.
According to the group, the discussions should be of particular interest to "professionals keen on understanding the future of elastomers and their regulatory environment."
The programme features presentations on the latest research regarding PFAS and 6PPD in elastomers, as well as case studies on managing these substances.
Among the speakers, Nithin Kuncheria, rubber technologist, Clwyd Compounders will provide a viewpoint on PFAS from a rubber compounder’s perspective
The event is scheduled to take place from 13:30-16:00h on 20 Sept at the institute's headquarters in London, and via Zoom.
