Increases linked to "significant investment" in programme to develop more sustainable alternatives to 6PPD anti-degradant
Akron, Ohio – Flexsys is increasing prices for all insoluble sulphur, 6PPD and 4-ADPA products sold worldwide, the US-based supplier has announced.
The increases of up to 12%, depending on product and world region, are effective for all shipments on or after 1 Sept or as customer contracts allow.
This price increase will help offset the effects of continued inflationary pressures on the business, according to the company’s statement.
Furthermore, Flexsys said it is making “significant investments in the innovation of a next generation anti-degradant as a replacement for 6PPD.”
The development programme, explained the company, is in response to customers’ requests for a more sustainable anti-degradant for tires of the future.
Collectively, these actions will enable Flexsys to continue to supply its customers with “industry-leading” products and services, its press statement concluded.
