Chinese tire maker highlights 'digital intelligence' strategy to advance innovation at production facilities
Dongying, China – Chinese tire maker Prinx Chengshan has introduced an "independently developed” five-drum building machine for commercial tires.
The machine, according to Prinx, "bridges the gap" in the automation of production processes for commercial tires, both in China and abroad.
The tire building machine features innovative heavy-duty, tread-winding technology, according to a group press release.
Prinx also highlighted its “intelligence strategy” during the Guangrao green technical transformation exhibition, held 23-25 July.
The tire maker said its 'digital ecosystem' is supporting the development “high-end intelligent equipment” for rubber mixing and tire manufacturing processes.
Prinx currently operates two ‘green and intelligent’ tire plants, in China and Thailand, each leveraging “production information visualisation, digitisation, and whole-process traceability.”
Compared with traditional production, Prinx claims that its intelligent production technologies can reduce manual labour by 50% and increase efficiency by over 30%.
