Italian machinery maker also introduces new service capabilities to upgrade equipment globally
Busto Arsizio, Italy – Italian rubber machinery maker Comerio Ercole has advanced its Industry 4.0 capabilities with the launch of a digital platform to enhance production processes.
Called Hercules40, the platform leverages IoT technologies to provide “data-driven analysis tools” that optimise manufacturing operations, said the company's 28 June announcement.
In particular, the platform focuses on improving energy-efficiency and delivering value-added after-sales services: processing raw data from machinery and plants into “actionable insights.”
An important feature is the platform’s AI-powered ‘anomaly detection algorithms’ that forecast machine downtime up to one month in advance, noted Comerio Ercole.
The system monitors each production cycle using “dedicated algorithms to assess component health,” explained the machinery maker.
Information provided by the platform facilitates “proactive maintenance and troubleshooting of process variables,” the company added.
Comerio Ercole has also launched its ‘Repower’ service portfolio, to provide customer support in areas ranging from spare-parts to complete refurbishments of machines installed globally.
The service covers mixers, calenders, or entire industrial lines, enabling upgrades that introduce new features, extend machine life, and mitigate obsolescence risks.
The service can provide more ‘cost-effective’ solutions to buying new machinery, including when it comes to complying with new regulations, added Comerio Ercole.
