Manufacturer halted production last month in response to ‘severe drought’
Wilmington, Delaware – Chemours Co. has resumed the production of titanium dioxide (TiO2) at its production facility in Altamira, Mexico.
The manufacturer suspended operations at the site 31 May in response to a “severe drought impacting much of Mexico” and in compliance with a government request to minimise water intake.
In a statement 24 June, Chemours said that the Mexican government had lifted its restrictions, enabling the company to resume normal operations at the TiO2 manufacturing facility.
