Waldkraiburg, Germany – Kraiburg TPE has expanded its reach in the UK with the official opening of its subsidiary Kraiburg TPE UK Ltd in the country.
The operations include a “strategically located” warehouse in Stok-on-Trent and a sales office in Stafford, said Kraiburg TPE in a statement 17 June.
The move, said the German compounder, reiterates “commitment to serving the important UK market directly.”
The team in the UK subsidiary include Michal Mucha, who will serve as “the main UK representative” for the compounder.
Mucha, said Kraiburg TPE, has “a wealth of experience spanning over a decade in plastics and automotive sectors.”
He will be supported in his role by Philip Jahn, technical sales manager EMEA, who has been in charge of the UK market for Kraiburg TPE since 2020 and who has "extensive experience of the local requirements."
The expansion signifies "our commitment to serving UK customers," said Nikolaus Weiss, head of sales at Kraiburg TPE in EMEA.
Furthermore, the move 'recognises the unique challenges and opportunities within the region,” he added.
By establishing a local presence, Weiss said the compounder aimed to “streamline operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive sustainable growth.”
The “localisation strategy” also aligns with the recent trend of localising supply chain, enabling Kraiburg TPE to “respond swiftly” to market demands.
According to Kraiburg TPE, the UK has long been “a pivotal market” for the company with “numerous well-known clients and successful collaborations.”
“However, evolving dynamics presented challenges in maintaining optimal service standards since 2020,” said the compounder.
Prior to this, the company closely collaborated with longstanding local partner Abbey Polymers.
