Appointed in 2022, Haider oversaw divestment of Sempermed, expansion to liquid silicone technology
Vienna – Semperit Group’s executive board chairman and CEO Karl Haider is not extending his term with the Austrian group after its expires 31 March 2025, it was announced 10 June.
Haider was appointed to the Semperit executive board in January 2022, and was chief commercial officer at Tata Steel Europe prior to that.
He will continue to serve as the chairman of the executive board until the end of his current mandate.
The decision comes as Semperit completed its transformation into an industrial elastomer specialist, said Haider announcing the decision.
The group, he said, "stands on a strong and stable foundation, and I will work with full commitment on its further profitable development until the last day.”
During his tenure at Semperit, Haider oversaw the divestment of the group’s medical gloves unit Sempermed and its expansion into the liquid silicone market.
Semperit said its supervisory board will start the search for a successor to Haider “immediately.”
