Kuala Lumpur – Kraiburg TPE has reported that its production site in, Salangor, Malaysia recently obtained ‘global recycled standard’ (GRS) certification.
Certification covers selected thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) materials for industries including personal care, household appliances, wearables, and consumer electronics, the company said.
The scheme, it noted, encompasses “stringent” social and environmental criteria throughout the production process, including the use of GRS-certified raw materials and seamless traceability in the supply-chain.
According to Krainburg TPE, the GRS award for ‘recycling based’ materials confirms that: the chemicals used comply with international regulations and standards to ensure product safety.
It also shows that the materials have: an externally verified ‘recycling content’; complete traceability in the supply-chain; and support transition from fossil-based to more sustainable raw materials.
Kraiburg TPE added that it will “gradually increase the use of recycled materials in its products, further reducing its carbon footprint compared to its counterparts produced using virgin materials.”
