Ryan Waldron succeeds Steven McClellan who retired at the beginning of the month
Akron, Ohio – Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has named Ryan Waldron as president of Americas business unit, reporting to group CEO and president Mark Stewart.
Waldron succeeds Steven McClellan, who retired at the beginning of the month, Goodyear announced 23 April.
Waldron, according to Stewart, is a “customer-centric, execution-focused business leader with a deep understanding of both the marketplace and all aspects of our business.”
He joined Goodyear in 2003, initially serving in leadership roles in finance and supply chain for North America business areas.
Since 2012, he has held VP positions in supply chain, logistics and procurement; sales operations and strategy; business and process integration; global off-highway businesses and chemical operations.
Most recently, Waldron served as president of Goodyear's North America consumer business.
Upon his appointment, Waldron said he was “fully focused on unlocking value through our Goodyear Forward plan and positioning our business and our customers to win in the marketplace."
