Japanese brand Seal, which manufactures footwear and fashion items from upcycled tires, has introduced high-performance sneakers for wet and slippery conditions. Made from discarded tire tubes, the product features shoe soles developed by Italian climbing footwear manufacturer Vibram. The tubes, from large truck tires, were transformed into footwear materials without any intense processing such as crushing - thereby maintaining the original “elasticity, durability, and waterproofness” of the rubber.
