Circular economy will be central theme of the upcoming international tire trade expo in Cologne
Cologne, Germany – Sustainable tire production and utilisation processes within a circular economy will be a central theme of The Tire Cologne 2024, say organisers of the tire trade expo being staged 4 to 6 June in Cologne.
Among the special features of the MesseKoeln event, will be a "circular economy’ focused forum for the presentation of new developments from across the the retreading and tire recycling industry worldwide.
Meanwhile, a ‘circular economy’ forum will provide a ‘hot spot’ for an exchange with leading industry experts as well as respected industry trend watchers, added a MesseKoeln release.
Exhibitors from the retreading & recycling segments, it noted, will include B&J Rocket Sales, Cima Impianti, E.I.B., Industrias del Neumático, Matteuzzi, M.I.G. MAE, Tech Europe, Vipal Europe and VMI Holland.
Displays lined up by these and other companies will encompass “the separation and processing of tyre components and their return to the production cycle, resulting in a closed resource cycle,” the statement noted.
Furthermore, it said, organisations that represent the complete tire cycle, such as innovation forum Allianz Zukunft Altreifen (AZuR), will also be represented at The Tire Cologne expo.
Themes relating to retreading and recycling will be further explored by expert panel discussions that focus on the future of the industry from the perspectives of manufacturers, suppliers and other important stakeholders.
"The trade fair is the ideal platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas aimed at developing technologies for a more sustainable future," commented Ingo Riedeberger, director of The Tire Cologne.
