Serban Nicolescu takes over management of tire factory in Timișoara, effective 1 April
Timisoara, Romania – Continental Tires has appointed Serban Nicolescu as the new general manager of its production facility in Timi?oara, effective 1 April.
He succeeds Matthieu Turlure, who held the position for two years and is continuing his work elsewhere, within the company, Continental announced 3 April.
Nicolescu has been part of the Continental team since 2011 and brings with him “extensive experience” in the field of production, according to the German group.
He previously held roles such as area manager in the Continental tire factory in Sarreguemines, France; production manager Continental Tires Timisoara and head of focus factory user experience at Continental's automotive factory in Timi?oara.
According to the German manufacturer, the production unit in Timi?oara is “one of the group's largest tire factories in Europe, and one of the biggest economic contributors in the region.”
Operational since 1998, the unit has produced and delivered over 300 million tires to customers.
