Strategic move comes two years after French rubber machinery group’s integration of RPM
Corbas, France – French rubber moulding machinery maker REP Group has combined its two subsidiaries in Italy – REP Italiana and RPM – about two years after its integration of RPM.
In a statement about the ‘stratregic’ move, REP also announced the retirement of RPM’s chief executive officer Gianfranco Inverardi, who led Italian company for around 20 years.
Benjamin Paganelli, director of operations and commercial director of REP Italiana, will take over the management of both Italian subsidiaries with effect from April 2024, the group said 28 March.
REP Italiana and RPM, it stated, “have joined forces to create a sales partnership in Italy, and pool their resources to provide a full range of services and strengthen their after-sales business.”
All REP and RPM teams “have been retained and will participate in the expansion of activities without losing any of their know-how,” added the French group.
With over 17 years and 20 years' experience respectively, Italian sales manager Monica Bonometti and production and after-sales service manager Marco Inverardi “will remain at the heart” of the RPM team.
The unified sales team will serve the markets for all vertical, horizontal and compression injection moulding machines in Italy, Greece and the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, continued REP.
The RPM entity, it also noted, is responsible for the production of all presses in the horizontal range, including the very compact EPG Ecotronic Short electric presses.
