Freudenberg Sealing Technologies’ aftermarket unit opens a warehouse in Turkey and a sales office in Serbia
Weinheim, Germany – Automotive aftermarket parts supplier Corteco is expanding in southeastern Europe: adding a warehouse in Turkey and a sales office in Serbia.
The new warehouse in Istanbul will ensure “much faster deliveries of premium spare parts to local customers in the future,” said parent company Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST).
The new warehouse marks also enhances sustainability, as transport routes to the customers will be “much more efficient”, added an FST release issued 19 March.
As part of its expansion in the region, Corteco is also launching a dedicated sales office in Serbia to strengthen customer relations in the country.
According to FST, Turkey is “a pivotal market” for Corteco, with "many customers from the independent aftermarket in both passenger car and heavy-duty vehicle sectors.”
“We experienced continuous growth in the Turkish market in recent years. Now we would like to develop this further,” commented Juergen Friedl, VP Corteco Europe.
Furthermore, Friedl said the entire south east Europe region is currently offering “high and dynamic growth potential. So, our ambition to expand in the region is a logical step.”
Corteco, continued FST, offers over 26,000 OEM-quality products, focusing mainly on sealing and vibration control technologies, as well as cabin air filters.
The new 1000-square-metre warehouse in eastern Istanbul can ship 6,000 items to customers across Turkey every day.
Customers from Turkey were previously being supplied from Germany.
