Frankfurt, Germany – Tristone Flowtech Group, part of major Chinese Anhui Zhongding Group, has posted record sales of €500 million for 2023, up 11% compared to the previous year.
The Frankfurt-based automotive components supplier added that it, last year, also registered 'the highest order-intake in the company's history.'
Business awards were “well balanced” between battery-cooling product families and normal combustion engine cooling, noted Tristone's 22 Feb statement.
However, 2023 was also "full of obstacles,” reported Tristone new management board, president & CEO Hua Wei; CFO Marta Martinez and COO Alberto Cortesi.
Challenges, they said, included high inflation, increasing prices for 'bought-in' components and “quite substantial" energy-cost increases.
Nevertheless Tristone, added the company leaders maintained “a stable supply-chain within all regions and kept positive earnings”.
The company leaders linked the record results to "strongly executed cost effectiveness programme throughout the Tristone group."
The German supplier expects to see further growth in revenue this year: sales projected to come in at €523 million, a 4.4% year-on-year increase.
Gains will be driven by ongoing start-ups in China, Europe, North America, and India, as well as “new products and applications with new patented technology.”
Tristone makes automotive hoses for fluid-handling applications in the areas of battery-cooling and engine-cooling, as well as for air-charge and air-intake systems.
Spun off from a former Trelleborg AB automotive business unit in July 2010, Tristone operated as a stand-alone company until February 2017 when it was acquired by the Zhongding Group.
Tristone employs more than 6,000 people at locations in China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Turkey.
