Kraiburg TPE has highlighted the use of its Thermolast H HC/AP compound series in grips and handles for medical equipment, particularly stretchers. The haptics and soft-touch surfaces provided by the elastomers, it said, offers a non-slip surface for emergency professionals. Other advantages include enhanced compression-set properties and its mouldability into the precise shapes and textures needed for stretchers. Overmolding the TPEs on the handle and anti-slip mat of a basket stretcher, said Kraiburg TPE, creates a surface that enhances safety in high-pressure situations such as patient transfers and rescue operations.
