Business unit simplifies sales operations to become “even more customer-focused”
Brussels – Bridgsetone Corp. has carried out a number of organisational changes within its European operations to strengthen the management structure of the business unit.
The changes, which came into effect at the start of the year, include the creation of Bridgestone EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Core Tyre Business Unit, the group confirmed to ERJ.
The business unit oversees the regional sales activities of Bridgestone’s consumer and commercial tire business under the leadership of Laurent Dartoux, group president Bridgestone Core Tyre EMEA.
The objective of the unit is “to capture value by providing a premium experience to our customers”, Bridgestone told ERJ 29 Feb.
To achieve that, the European sales organisation has been further reorganised to include two larger areas of North Europe and South Europe.
The move will “simplify operations”, helping the group become “more customer-focused”.
Christian Muehlhaeuser and Jose Enrique Gonzalez have been named VP North Europe and VP South Europe respectively.
As part of the move, the EMEA headquarters sales function will be split in ‘customer facing’ and ‘sales operations’ teams to improve customer proximity, optimise sales support and simplify sales operations.
