Mikael Fryklund to bring “extensive knowledge in global rubber business” to Canadian compounder
Newmarket, Ontario – Canadian compounder AirBoss of America Corp. has appointed Mikael Fryklund to the role of executive vice president and chief strategy officer, the group announced 9 Feb.
Having previously held leading positions within Trelleborg Group and Hexpol AB, Fryklund will bring “extensive knowledge of the global rubber business,” to the group, said president and co-CEO of AirBoss Chris Bitsakakis.
“We believe he will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the overall strategic direction of the company,” Bitsakakis added.
According to AirBoss, Fryklund has three decades of experience in “related industries”, including 25 years in senior managerial and executive roles for rubber and plastic manufacturers.
This, said Bitsakakis, will be “invaluable in developing, executing and sustaining our strategic initiatives.”
Fryklund previously led Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, and served as the president and CEO of Hexpol Group for three years between 2017 and 2020.
He has also served as chief operating officer for Swedish electronics and mechanics manufacturer Inission Group as well as president and CEO for the Finnish electronic power supplies systems producer, Enedo Group.
He holds an MSc in mechanical engineering degree from Chalmers University of Technology and a BSc degree in business administration/finance from Stockholm University.
