German distributor to cooperate with Turkmen supplier Eziz Dag for supply of thermal blacks in Europe
Haltern am See, Germany – German carbon black distributor PentaCarbon has entered an ‘exclusive cooperation’ with Turkmen carbon black producer Eziz Dag for the supply of thermal black N990 in the European market.
The partnership is made ahead of European Union’s sanctions on the imports of Russian carbon black, which will come into force in July, said PentaCarbon in a statement 18 Jan.
“This project provides additional capacity of thermal black to European market,” the distributor added.
PentaCarbon said it intended to progress the partnership with “successive development plans” for gas-based rubber carbon blacks from Eziz Dag company TurkmenCarbon.
According to TurkmenCarbon’s website, the company's production facility has a design capacity to produce 10 kilotonnes per annum (ktpa) of carbon black for applications in rubber, plastics and construction.
Furthermore, the Eziz Dag group has recently opened a new carbon black production facility in Turkmenistan’s Mary province, with the nameplate capacity of 3ktpa.
