Ansell Earth presents “science-based claims” across material, manufacturing, packaging, use, and end-of-use areas
Brussels – Ansell has launched a ‘framework’ for communicating the sustainability credentials of its products, the personal protection equipment (PPE) major has announced.
Called Ansell Earth, the platform introduces “science-based claims” across five product life-cycle areas – material, manufacturing, packaging, use, and end-of-use.
The goal is “to give end users insight into the genuine sustainability credentials of selected Ansell products that meet strict sustainability criteria,” Ansell said 28 Sept.
Selected Ansell products will be backed by “clear, quantified and proven” sustainability claims, according to the statement.
The information, said the group, will help end users make “PPE choices in line with their own environmental values and sustainability goals.”
The ‘product sustainability claims’ went live for selected products on 1 Sept with more to be added in future as Ansell expands its sustainability efforts and portfolio, it noted.
Ansell Earth provides "reliable and easy-to-access product sustainability information, something customers have been asking for,” said Rikard Froberg, Ansell’s chief product and marketing officer.
“We're looking forward to seeing our Ansell Earth claims help end users choose products that increasingly contribute to a more sustainable future,” added Froberg.
