Rising costs involved in manufacturing of products cited for upward revision
Tokyo – Tokyo – Zeon Corp. is increasing prices for synthetic latices due, it said, to continuing pressures on costs, the company announced 1 Sept.
Effective 15 Sept, the price revision will add Yen50-100/kg to prices for acrylate latex, styrene-butadiene latex and nitrile butadiene rubber latex, said Zeon.
Furthermore, the Japanese group is increasing prices for 'soap-free latex' materials by Yen500-800/kg, said the announcement.
The Tokyo-based group cited continuing pressures on the cost of production as the main reason for the materials price increases.
With the costs “greatly exceeding the scope of self-help efforts”, Zeon said, the price reivion will ensure stable production and supply of the materials.
