Continental’s PremiumContact 7 tire placed first in the UK-based Auto Express 2023 Summer Tyre Test, where it was tested on a Volkswagen Golf in the ‘popular’ tire size 205/55 R16. The tire, said the manufacturer, did “exceptionally well in areas such as wet and dry braking and handling in the wet, further highlighting developments made to the tire.” The summer tire employs a range of innovative Continental technologies, such as a size-specific design, RedChili compound for the tread and an adaptive tread design.
