Tire Tracker – Pirelli rolls out ‘most sporting tire’ for road

Pirelli has rolled out the P Zero Trofeo RS, the latest version of its semi-slick tires designed for roads but with “most sporting” performance. The tire is the “technical evolution” of the P Zero Trofeo R but is being positioned as OE unlike its predecessor that was originally designed as an aftermarket tire to improve on-track performance. Italian car maker Pagani Automobili is the first to request a specific version of the new tire for its latest hypercar Utopia. The tire, Pirelli said, offers “even more performance in dry conditions, as well as extra consistency” compared to its predecessor. The tire maker has used a “multi-compound tread” in the tire which allows it to be “personalised” for each car model.
