Tire Tracker – Marangoni’s Ringtread hits ‘A’-class mark

Marangoni has manufactured a Ringtread retread tire at its Rovereto plant that achieved an “A” class energy-saving level in the same test used for new tires (ECE.R 117). The tread pattern and Ringtread process which involves no splices and no structural deformation, made the achievement possible. The rating was achieved by applying the company’s Blackline tread ring with a design optimised for low rolling resistance. A “high quality casing [offering] the best rolling-resistance class already in its first life.” and a specially created tire compound also feature in the tire.
