Continental says tire pressure app can help growers with multiple brands of tires on their vehicles
Hanover, Germany - Continental AG has announced the availabilty of a tire pressure app for agricultural vehicles, which it developed in cooperation with other tire makers.
The app combines the databases of each manufacturer such as pressure, load and speed tables to provide easy access to information for farmers, Continental said 28 March.
Farmers and other growers, it explained, usually have to refer to manufacturers' documentation to define the right tire pressure after identifying the axle loads and speed of use.
This task, however, can get overly complicated especially where multiple brands of tires are being used on a fleet of agricultural vehicles.
To address this challenge, the app enables the farmer to access the correct tire pressure data easily and quickly, according to a Continental release.
The statement did not provide further details about other tire makers involved in the process.
