Frankfurt-headquartered Amaneos to combine three Murates companies with over €1.2bn sales
Frankfurt, Germany – Mutares SE is forming a new global tier 1 automotive supplier under the umbrella of wholly-owned subsidiary Amaneos SE, headquartered in Frankfurt.
Amaneos will combine Mutares companies Light Mobility Solutions GmbH (LMS), MoldTecs GmbH and SFC Group to form a global player with over 7,500 employees at some 30 locations and annual sales of around €1.2 billion.
SFC, which produces fluid transfer systems, sealing and rubber and plastics parts will contribute to 29% of total sales, while lightweight exterior and interior components business LMS will account for 30% of the group’s sales.
Completing the grouping, plastics injection moulder MoldTecs will contribute to 41% of group revenues, according to Mutares' statement issued 9 March.
Amaneos, it added, will be led by Mathieu Purrey, who previously served as head of automotive & mobility at Mutares and has "extensive experience in various management functions in the automotive sector.”
The combination is expected to give Amaneos “a complementary product portfolio” covering more than 60% of the polymer parts in an average vehicle.
There will also be significant additional synergy potential in marketing, through the sharing of know-how and technology, and in product development, said Mutares.
“The combination… will give us the opportunity to significantly increase sales per OEM or per vehicle for Amaneos,” said chief investment officer Johannes Laumann.
