Move part of strategy to grow customer base, enhance product portfolio in the region
Colombo – Sri Lankan industrial tire manufacturer GRI has announced the opening of its corporate office in the US as part of the strategy to grow customer base in the region.
Located at the Research Triangle Park (RTP) in North Carolina, the new office will support GRI’s plans to “rapidly expand speciality tire business across the US,” said Prabhash Subasinghe, managing director.
“We realised that a corporate office with experienced staff to cater to the growing needs of our customer base was vital,” he added.
The “ideal location”, according to the GRI official, will offer “excellent accessibility” for customers in addition to attracting quality talent.
The new US office will take “full command” over sales operations, customer support, and logistics in the US, according to GRI.
It will also provide opportunity for GRI to cater to and develop products specifically focused on the North American market.
Founded in 2002 by Subasinghe, GRI produces material handling solid tires, radial agriculture tires, and construction tires.
Since 2018 the tire maker has been expanding its speciality tire production plants and tire compound mixing facilities in Sri Lanka.
