Offers “outstanding resistance” to various aggressive media that can degrade EPDM and HNBR rubber materials
Weinheim, Germany – Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) is introducing a peroxide-crosslinked fluoroelastomer tailored to meet the latest food-contact regulations while also offering enhanced heat and chemical resistance.
To be launched at the drinktec trade show in Munich next month, the material, labelled 75 FKM 239961, is suitable for use at temperatures ranging from -25 °C to + 200 °C, said FST's 31 Aug announcement.
The product also offers “outstanding resistance” to various aggressive media that can degrade EPDM and HNBR rubber materials, according to the company.
Currently, FST manufactures O-rings from the fluororubber but expects to begin producing ‘customer-specific’ parts with the materials in the near term.
