ERJ spotlights rubber-related technologies lined up for K2022, the world’s largest plastics & rubber trade fair, 19-26 Oct in Dusseldorf
Cologne, Germany – Lanxess (C76 – C78, Hall 6) will focus on e-mobility and sustainability at K2022, including advanced solutions for the rubber and polyurethane industries.
Among a range of additives for the rubber processing industry, the Rhein Chemie business unit will present pre-dispersed chemicals, processing promoters and vulcanisation and filler activators.
Sustainability features will include additives for the manufacture of long-lasting rubber products across a range of applications such as tires, hoses, seals, profiles, and drive belts.
“Lifetime is an important indicator for sustainable performance of rubber products,” said Lanxess, noting that its additives such as Perkalink and Vulcuren enable tire compounds to deliver ultra-high performance over the entire end-product service life.
The Cologne-based group ‘urethane systems’ business unit will present innovative Adiprene Green brand prepolymers with a high bio-based content and novel hot-cast and cold-cure systems that can be processed with reduced energy input.
In the CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers) arena, Lanxess will present thermoplastic polyurethanes can be processed more efficiently by adding the modifier Modulast PUR. This reduces overall raw material costs, lower temperatures during processing and shorter cycle times.
