Facility in Georgia to expand presence in North America
Newnan, Georgia – Cassioli Group, an Italian supplier of plant engineering solutions for handling and industrial automation, has strengthened its position in North America with the opening of a manufacturing base in Georgia.
The company has been present in the region with a commercial office in Atlanta since 2009 and has now further consolidated its position in the market with the purchase of a new production site at the Creekside Industrial Park in Newnan, Coweta County.
“The decision to expand our presence in the North American area with the first US production site in Newnan was an essential step in the growth strategy of our business,” said CEO Carlo Cassioli on 24 June.
According to Cassioli, one of the main recent trends in the US manufacturing industry has been the increase in productivity and “doubling the output per worker”.
“In this context, automation is a key factor to carry on this trend and the possibility to have a production site in the US allows us to expand the potential of the company,” he added.
The new factory, according to the company statement, was opened earlier this year and over the next five years aims to diversify to increase the group’s production capacity.
Among other industries, Cassioli supplies intelligent internal logistics management systems to tire makers.
According to its website, Cassioli’s systems “allow maximum return on tire processing” while speeding up production and delivery times.
