Acquisition of NorrVulk AB to expand range of service “in close proximity” to industrial customers
Stockholm – Continental is acquiring conveyor belt systems and services specialist NorrVulk AB, based in Gällivare, northern Sweden.
Established in 2007, NorrVulk employs 16 people and primarily sells and services conveyor belts and provides accessories and peripherals for the industry.
Conti expects the acquisition, the value of which was not disclosed, to complement its portfolio for the sale of conveyor belt systems and related services.
Furthermore, the move will strengthen Conti’s business with industrial customers in the region, which has a strong mining tradition..
“The acquisition underscores our goal of further expanding our service business directly with our customers and aligning our focus accordingly,” explained Song Qi, responsible for the global business with conveyor belt system solutions at Continental.
The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by antitrust authorities.
