Company first mainland Chinse tire maker to become GPSNR member
Yanati, China – Shandong Linglong Tyre Co. Ltd has passed the evaluation of the executive committee of the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR) and successfully joined the platform to formulate a sustainable natural rubber policy, the tire maker has announced.
The company, said a recent Linglong statement, is the first Chinese mainland tire maker to become a member of GPSNR.
Established by tire industry sector of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in 2018, GPSNR is an independent non-profit NGO committed to improving the social economy and environmental performance of the NR supply chain.
By joining the GPSNR, Linglong said it is formulating a sustainable natural rubber policy in terms of ecosystem protection, human rights protection and supply chain management.
The policy will also address the improvement of production efficiency and the sustainable development of global NR.
