Singapore - Organisers of the World Rubber Summit 2022 the International Rubber Study Group have announced further details of the conference programme.
The summit is set to take place 24-26 May in Singapore (and online) under the theme of a ‘resilient, digitalised and sustainable rubber economy: redefining value chains.”
The hybrid event will bring together industry leaders, experts and the government representatives to discuss issues such as climate change, carbon reduction, trade regulation, data governance and green finance.
“Sustainable and inclusive growth through digitalisation and market diversification could help build resilience in the rubber economy,” said IRGS.
“There is a need to overcome challenges in the industry, addressing visibility, traceability and data-sharing,” IRSG added in its notes about the WRS22 summit.
Programme highlights include keynotes on ‘global value chain disruption and resilient recovery’, ‘sustainability expectations in the rubber value chain’, and ‘charting a path towards net-zero transition.
Speakers will also explore topics such as digital trading and the Latin American rubber economy, while a roundtable will discuss ‘rubber - the responsibilities of nations and stakeholders.
