Lisbon will now host the event in September
Houston, Texas – The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) has moved the location of its 2022 annual general meeting from Saint Petersburg to the Portuguese capital of Lisbon.
The event, which was set for 16-19 May, will not take place 12-15 September, said IISRP in a 9 March statement.
In addition, the institute also announced the naming of Bobby Rikhoff as acting president international, noting that he will hold the position until the Lisbon meeting.
In Lisbon, the IISRP board of directors will vote to elect Rikhoff as president international, to hold office until the next AGM in Boston.
Rikhoff holds a BSc in chemical engineering from Louisiana State University.
In 1995, he began his career at the former Uniroyal Chemical Company, now Lanxess, where he held several increasingly senior positions supporting the polymer and rubber chemicals businesses worldwide.
In 2007, he moved to Lion Elastomers as part of the divestment of Chemtura’s Geismar, Los Angeles, facility.
Through the sale of Lion Copolymer's Baton Rouge facility to East-West Copolymer, he was promoted to VP of operations.
Rikhoff rejoined the Lion team in 2018 as VP of its Texas business. Starting in January 2022, he took on a new role as VP of venture projects.
