Move to impact Russian exhibitors at Tire Cologne, set to take place in May
Cologne, Germany – Koelnmesse is suspending its cooperation with Russian companies in accordance with measures and requirements of the German government, the trade fair company has announced.
“As a trade fair organiser, we stand wholeheartedly for peaceful coexistence, free trade and the unrestricted exchange of goods around the world,” said Koelnmesse in a statement 2 March.
“Unfortunately,” it went on to say, “this exchange is no longer possible at the moment [with Russia].”
Koelnemesse, which is set to host Tire Cologne 24-26 May, confirmed to ERJ that the decision will also affect the tire event, meaning Russian exhibitors will not be able to take part.
Tire Cologne organisers have not yet published a full list of exhibitors at the event.
