Dr KN Raghavan takes over as chairman for the next two years
Singapore – The International Rubber Study Group has named Dr KN Raghavan, executive director of Rubber Board of India as the new chairperson of the IRSG heads of delegation.
Based in Singapore, IRSG is an inter-governmental body for rubber – both synthetic and natural – producing and consuming countries.
Raghavan was elected unanimously by the member governments’ representatives and will stay in the position for two terms (2022-2024), said ISRG in a 23 Feb statement.
He has served as the executive director of the Indian Rubber Board since 2019 and has previously worked as principal commissioner of GST and Central Excise, Mumbai Central.
A native of Kochi, Raghavan completed his MBBS from Calicut Medical College in 1988.
