Reutlingen, Germany-Reiff Group subsidiary RET, a maker of elastomer parts for the automotive sector, is to set up a new 8000-sq.m production site in the Mark-West industrial area of Reutlingen, with the potential to create 60 new jobs.
The new plant, to be completed by late summer 2006, will replace RET's existing plants in Betzingen and Wannweil in Reutlingen. Both of these sites are currently working at or over full capacity, the firm commented. RET's 140 workers from these plants will move to the new unit when it is completed.
Parent group Reiff, a diversified supplier of tyre tread and rubber and plastics components, said the expanded production facilities will allow for growth in sales at RET.
