Chemtura raises prices on flame retardants, bromine
Middlebbury, Connecticut -- Chemtura Corp. is raising prices globally by 70 cents per kilogram on its Reofos and Kronitex phosphorous flame retardant grade materials, effective 15 Oct.
The company also announced it will increase worldwide delivered bulk elemental bromine pricing to a minimum of $2000 per tonne, effective 1 Oct. Along with the bromine price hike, Chemtura said it will no longer offer price-change notification terms longer than 30 days.
Both price hikes are effective where customer contracts allow, the company said.
