AIAG explores use of RFID in seminar, 3 Nov
Detroit, Michigan -- the US-based Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) has announced plans for a seminar on the use of radio frequency identification (RFID) systems in the automotive supply chain. The seminar will be held on 3 November at the Burton Manor venue in Livonia, Michigan.
According to the AIAG, "The full-day program will feature some of the early adopters of RFID who will share automotive implementations, case studies and end-user applications. Retail, defense and research organizations also will share their experiences. Presenting companies include General Motors Corp., Michelin, and the U.S. Department of Defense.
"AIAG has long been a leader in educating the automotive supply chain on evolving technologies," said J. Scot Sharland, AIAG executive director. "The AIAG RFID Summit is the premier RFID event for the supply chain to learn about real world deployments and applications from OEMs, suppliers and the retail and defense sectors. No other RFID event offers such a well-balanced spectrum of high quality and timely content."
