Farrel inks 10-year agreement with Chinese equipment maker
Ansonia, Connecticut -- Farrel Corp. has signed a 10-year manufacturing and distribution agreement with Qingdao Mesnac Co. Ltd., giving the Chinese equipment maker the exclusive right to assemble, distribute and rebuild Farrel's Banbury-brand internal batch mixers within the People's Republic of China.
The new pact is an expansion of the cooperation agreement the two companies formalised in November 2004.
Under the agreement's terms, Qingdao Mesnac will be the sole authorised supplier of Farrel's Banbury mixers to the Chinese rubber industry. Farrel will provide training to Qingdao Mesnac personnel and the Chinese firm will maintain an inventory of Farrel spare parts and mixer components in China.
The partnership will allow Farrel and Qingdao Mesnac to provide their customers in China with timely and cost-effective parts delivery and technical service support, Farrel said.
